Prairie Comfort Collection: Soy Wax Refill Pouches

How many times have you bought a beautiful candle but weren't sure what to do with the container after it was done? 

If you're like me, you *might* just have a closet full of gorgeous candle-less candle container that you don't have the heart to throw out but just don't know what to do with. 

We've come up with the BEST solution. 

Our Prairie Comfort Collection 16oz Soy Wax Refill Pouches are perfect for re-using your favorite candle container or vessel over and over again. 

How to prep your container for a refill: 

Our candles, like *most* candles have a metal holder at the bottom of the wick. It is very important that you do NOT put it in the microwave despite the container material. 

The best way to clean your vessel of old wax and wick is to melt it in the oven. Set your container on a cookie sheet and place in the oven at 190 degrees. Wait until the wax softens, remove from the oven and wipe away the old wax with a paper towel. 

Often the bottom of wicks are glued into place, so these might need a little extra encouragement to set loose. 

Once the container is clean and dry, you're ready to refill! 

Refill Instructions: 

Each Prairie Comfort Collection Soy Wax Refill Pouch kit contains 16oz of your favourite soy wax scent in a microwaveable pouch, three tabbed wicks, and three wick stickers to secure your wick to your container. 

Depending on your vessel size, evenly place and secure 1-3 wicks in your container with the provided wick stickers. 

We recommend one wick for containers smaller than 8oz, two wicks for containers between 8 - 16 oz, and depending on the container shape (depth and width) three wicks for 14 - 20 oz containers (ex. dough bowls). 

In a microwaveable dish, place the refill pouch in microwave. DO NOT remove wax from pouch.

Heat on HIGH for 1 minute
Massage wax in pouch
Repeat this process 3 times or until the wax is fully melted and clear. Do NOT Overheat

Open the bag carefully using the tear notch or scissors, and pour into your desired vessel.

Each refill pack comes with ( 3) tabbed wicks and (3) wick stickers to secure your wick to your vessel.
 

Note that if you do not use the wax in one pour it can be solidified and re-melted using the instructions above.
